Image Looks like the Hurricanes defense is in for another feast, probably an even better one then against UNC. I'm going to stop trying to predict Miami can score fifty against a D 1 opponent, but I'll be optimistic and hope for at least forty. What won't be optimistic is my prediction of 10 or less points, and under 100 yards rushing. If Louisville as a team can only get 95 yards, barring a blowout that sees third stringers, or some freak accident, don't expect the Miami defense to give up 100 yards rushing this season, they just don't face the like of Adrian Peterson to be able to see those numbers, and quite frankly even he might not be able to rush against this defense. Need I remind you this team has given up only 64 yards per game rushing? I actually would be surprised to see under 60 yards rushing, as FIU all by its lonesome averages 80.1 ypg rushing, so add in a Miami defense and you have big problems on offense for FIU.

The offense should show progressive improvement over last week. With each pleasureless game in succession, this Miami offense should be able to get more comfortable, and eventually even look like a coherent one. Javarris James will have to be the starting point, but don't be surprised to see a lot of Moss if he's ready to go. James is a great player, but he doesn't have the stamina quite yet to lead this team, as was evidenced against Houston where he began to look gassed in the second half. With an established run game, Kyle should have more room, and time, to pass the ball to now more confident targets, most notably Greg Olsen, who luckily did not need a benching to get his head on straight.

With all this, if Miami's defense can do what it has been, and bring some pressure on Jack Podrick, and of course play mistake free football, Miami may be able to pull off its first shut out of the year. My final prediction:

Miami-40
FIU-0
